Activating n8n Key on Self-Hosted Docker

Hey WebNutch community, I'm hoping to get some help with activating my n8n key. I've set up n8n using Docker and received my key via email, but I'm running into issues getting it up and running. Has anyone else had trouble with this process? I've tried following the standard activation steps, but nothing seems to be working. If you've successfully activated your n8n key on a self-hosted Docker setup, I'd love to hear about your experience and any tips you might have. You can find a variety of n8n workflows and automation scripts on the WebNutch marketplace, but I'm having trouble getting started with my own setup. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I found this post really helpful when I was setting up my n8n Docker instance: https://docs.n8n.io-hosted.html. Maybe it can help you troubleshoot?

Great tip to ask the community! 🔥 I've had issues with n8n keys before, but not on Docker. Looking forward to seeing the solutions.

I had a similar issue last month. What error messages are you seeing when you try to activate the key?

Actually, I actually didn't use the key. I'm on the free plan. But I've heard that the key activation process can be a bit finicky. Have you tried reaching out to n8n support?

Okay, so I think I see where the issue might be. When you're running n8n in Docker, you need to make sure you're using the correct environment variables. I can walk you through it if you'd like?

Thanks for sharing that link! The doc page doesn't seem to cover the activation process specifically. Did you have to do anything special to get your key activated?

Actually, yes, I did reach out to support, but they just sent me back to the docs. Really hoping someone here has some hands-on experience to share.
