Breaking the Doomscrolling Habit with n8n

Hey WebNutch community, let's talk about breaking bad habits. For many of us, staying up-to-date with current events can be a slippery slope, leading to hours of mindless scrolling. I used to spend over 9 hours a week on a certain platform, just to keep up with geopolitics. But I've found a better way. I built an n8n workflow that pulls from trusted RSS and news feeds, groups posts by topic, and uses Gemini to create clean summaries. The result is a tidy digest that hits my inbox every 6 hours, no rabbit holes or algorithms in sight. I've been using this workflow for a while now, and I'm happy to share it with the community. If you're interested, I can provide the workflow, and you can customize the RSS links to fit your needs. Just imagine having more free time and being more intentional with your news consumption. What are some other ways you've used n8n to simplify your life or break bad habits? Share your stories and workflows in the comments below. You can also find and share workflows like this one in the WebNutch marketplace.

Great tip! 🔥 I've been trying to cut down on my news scrolling too, can you share your n8n workflow?

I'm intrigued by your use of Gemini for summarization - can you elaborate on how you configured it? I've been experimenting with different AI models and would love to compare notes

I've also been using n8n for news aggregation, but I'm having trouble with Gemini - do you have any tips for fine-tuning the summarization?

I recently made a similar switch to RSS feeds and it's been a game-changer for my productivity. One thing I'd love to add is a 'trending topics' section to my digest - has anyone found a good way to do this with n8n?
