Is 2GB RAM Enough for n8n?

Hey WebNutch community, I'm planning to get a machine to run n8n and I'm wondering if 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage would be sufficient. I'm planning to upgrade the storage later, but I'm concerned about the RAM. What are your thoughts? Would this setup be enough to handle my automation workflows or should I consider upgrading the RAM as well? Looking forward to hearing your opinions and experiences with running n8n on similar setups. You can also check out the WebNutch marketplace for more resources and discussions on n8n and automation.

For small to medium workflows, 2GB of RAM should be enough, but if you're planning to run multiple large workflows concurrently, you might run into issues. I'd recommend upgrading to at least 4GB of RAM if possible.

Regarding your question about running multiple large workflows concurrently, I've found that n8n can handle it pretty well as long as you've got a decent amount of RAM. Can you tell me more about the types of workflows you're planning to run?

I'm running n8n on a machine with 1GB of RAM and it's been working fine for my small workflows. However, I do experience some slowdowns when running multiple workflows at once. I'd say 2GB is a good starting point, but be prepared to upgrade if you need more power.

Great question! 🤔 I've found that storage is more of a concern for me than RAM. As long as you've got enough storage for your workflow data, 2GB of RAM should be sufficient for most use cases.

I've been running n8n on a similar setup and it works fine for me, but I've only got a few small workflows running. How many workflows are you planning to run?

Thanks for sharing your experience! I was thinking of running around 5-10 workflows, some of which will be running concurrently. Do you think 2GB of RAM would be enough to handle that workload?
